How BuildWise Will Work
From initial research to the retailer checkout page, BuildWise is being built to help users compare hardware, evaluate prices and plan a smarter PC build.
1. Browse and Search
Explore hundreds of components across the major PC hardware categories.
Filter supported products by brand, specifications, price range and observed availability to narrow the catalog around a user's needs and budget.
2. Review Price Intelligence
Compare recently observed prices from supported retailers alongside available historical price data.
Use that context to understand whether a current offer appears competitive or whether it may be worth waiting for a better opportunity.
3. Compare Components
Place components side by side to compare specifications, available price history and supported retailer offers before making a decision.
4. Plan a Build
Assemble a complete PC and review compatibility guidance, estimated power requirements and purchasing context for selected components.
Compatibility results and power estimates are informational and should be confirmed against manufacturer specifications before purchasing or installing hardware.
5. Create Price Alerts
Choose a target price for a supported product.
When BuildWise detects an eligible listing at or below the target, BuildWise will attempt to send an alert.
- Alerts may be delayed
- Alerts are not guaranteed
- Products may sell out before an alert is received
- Pricing may change before checkout
6. Continue to the Retailer
Review supported offers and continue to the retailer that best fits the purchase.
BuildWise provides historical context and clearly identifies supported sellers and offers.
What BuildWise does not do
BuildWise does not detect every fake seller, guarantee seller legitimacy, monitor every retailer, always find the lowest market price, or guarantee that a discount is genuine.
Before completing a purchase, confirm the following on the retailer's website:
- Exact product and model
- Seller
- Condition
- Availability
- Shipping
- Taxes
- Coupon or membership requirements
- Return policy
- Warranty
- Final checkout price
Where the Data Comes From
BuildWise combines product information, pricing and availability data from supported retailers, manufacturers, affiliate networks and other permitted sources.
Pricing and availability are refreshed periodically but may change between updates. Product variants, seller information, taxes, shipping charges, coupons and membership pricing may affect the final amount.
The retailer's product page and checkout process are the final source for product details, availability and purchase terms.
