Terms of Service

By accessing or using the BuildWise website or joining the Founder waitlist, the user agrees to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Affiliate Disclosure, which are incorporated by reference.

Users who do not agree should not use the Service.

• Users must be at least 13.
• Users under the age of majority should use BuildWise with a parent or guardian.
• Users must provide accurate information.
• Users may not impersonate another person.

BuildWise is currently operating a limited soft-launch website and Founder waitlist.

Descriptions of future features, release dates, Founder Access benefits or planned functionality are informational and may change.

Joining the waitlist:

• Does not guarantee access
• Does not guarantee a particular launch date
• Does not reserve paid benefits unless expressly stated
• Does not create an ownership or investment interest
• Does not obligate BuildWise to release any particular feature
• Does not require BuildWise to accept every applicant

BuildWise may later provide:

• Hardware information
• Product comparisons
• Pricing observations
• Historical pricing
• Build planning
• Compatibility guidance
• Scanner matching
• Price alerts
• Retailer links

All such information is informational.

Product specifications, compatibility, prices, availability and retailer information may be incomplete, delayed, incorrectly matched or outdated.

Users must verify final information with manufacturers and retailers.

• BuildWise is not the seller.
• BuildWise does not process retailer checkout transactions.
• Retailers control pricing, taxes, shipping, inventory, warranties, returns and customer service.
• Purchases are governed by retailer terms.
• BuildWise is not responsible for retailer disputes.

BuildWise may earn commissions through affiliate links. Not every link is monetized. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Users may not engage in:

• Scraping or bulk extraction without authorization
• Circumventing rate limits
• Automated account or waitlist abuse
• Reverse engineering except where legally protected
• Unauthorized security testing
• Uploading malicious code
• Interfering with the Service
• Fraudulent affiliate activity
• Impersonation
• Using the Service unlawfully
• Violating third-party rights
• Copying or reselling BuildWise data or design
• Creating a competing product database from BuildWise content without permission

The BuildWise name, logo, design, original content and software are owned by BuildWise or its licensors.

Product names, trademarks, logos, specifications and third-party content remain owned by their respective owners.

Users may voluntarily provide ideas and feedback.

BuildWise may use voluntary feedback to improve the product without a requirement to compensate the person providing it. BuildWise does not claim ownership over unrelated user content.

BuildWise may link to independently operated services and does not control their content, availability, privacy, security or practices.

BuildWise may restrict access for:

• Abuse
• Fraud
• Security threats
• Terms violations
• Legal requirements
• Harm to BuildWise or other users

The website, waitlist and any preview content are provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by law.

BuildWise does not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted operation
• Error-free operation
• Launch dates
• Feature availability
• Pricing accuracy
• Compatibility
• Alert delivery
• Data completeness
• Security perfection
• Fitness for a particular purpose

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildWise excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential and punitive damages arising from use of or reliance on BuildWise, including loss of:

• Data
• Profits
• Revenue
• Purchasing opportunities
• Business opportunities
• Goodwill

Including losses arising from:

• Inaccurate pricing
• Product mismatches
• Retailer activity
• Future launch delays
• Reliance on preview information

BuildWise may add, modify, suspend or discontinue features. No feature is guaranteed to remain permanently available.

Revised Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes will receive reasonable notice where appropriate, and changes apply prospectively where required.

• Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
• No waiver: failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment: BuildWise may assign these Terms; users may not without consent.
• Entire agreement: these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Affiliate Disclosure form the entire agreement.
• Section headings are for convenience only.
• Survival: provisions intended to survive termination continue to apply.
